SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER Another summer has come and gone! We are all really looking forward to another great year here in Boher N.S. A few reminders for the year ahead. Uniforms Uniforms should be worn each day where possible! (We do understand those mornings that the breakfast hits the uniform!). The PE uniform can be worn on Tuesdays and Fridays. Easter Holidays Monday 15th April – Friday 26 th April (incl). School opening Monday 29 th April. Closing Friday 12 th April at 12pm. We will have an Easter Egg Hunt with the children on Friday. Boher N.S. pupils entered the “Yours Sincerely” competition. Congratulations to all pupils from first class to sixth class who wrote a letter for the competition but a big “well done” to the 6 winners whose letters were published in the “Yours Sincerely” book!
The Valerie Kelly Award is a beautiful piece of Genesis Sculpture presented to Boher N.S. by Ronan Kelly to commemorate his sister, Valerie, who taught in the school from September 1993 until her untimely death on August 27th 2000. The piece “Spirit of the Earth” was chosen by Ronan and will remain in the school as a tribute to Valerie. At the inauguration of “The Valerie Kelly Award” on 12th.
The Senior pupils, teachers, secretary and some parents travelled to Citywest for this year’s Hallelujah Concert in December. They had been learning the songs and dance moves for weeks beforehand. A super night was had by all. View Photos Here
A Fabulous night of Verse and Drama was presented by the pupils of Boher N.S. on Wednesday 26th February in Boher Hall. The 3 presenters on the night rivalled Ant & Dec and Kathryn Thomas with their professionalism and coolness!!
