St. Brigid’s Crosses
For years and years Boher N.S. pupils have brought in rushes at the end of January in order to make St Brigid’s Crosses for the 1st of February. Saint Brigid has many associations with our Boher. She is our patron saint and the church is dedicated to her. A marble statue of St Brigid stands in a niche on the front wall of the church. Boher pupils make crosses for their families and leave some in St.Brigid’s church to be distributed after Mass on St.Brigid’s Day
